Dutch client of Schelstraete Lawyers wins court case about a painting by Jacob Jordaens. The client is the seller of the painting which the buyer claimed was not an original. The claim of the buyer for damages of € 650,000 was rejected by the court in first instance. The buyer lodged an appeal but did not submit a statement of defence. The Court of Appeal declared the buyer’s appeal inadmissible.
