Amanda Brouwers graduated from Tilburg University (2013) where she obtained two master’s degrees: ‘International Business Law’ and ‘Private Law’. Shortly afterwards, she has done the attorney’s oath and became a lawyer. Since August 2016, she has been working at Schelstraete International Law Firm, where she is involved in employment law (also in the equestrian sector): due to her knowledge and commitment, these cases often end before legal proceedings are initiated.
Amanda successfully completed the post-graduate specialization course in Employment Law at the Grotius Academy in 2020 and she is a member of the Association of Employment Lawyers (VAR) Breda – ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
Moreover, she often successfully litigates in the field of ‘Private Law’ and ‘Equestrian Law’. Due to her corporate law background, drawing up contracts is also part of her domain.
In addition to her work as a lawyer, she is also socially active. Amanda is vice-president of Stichting URvoice, a foundation that is engaged in enthusing young people and young adults for voluntary work. She is as well an enthusiastic cyclist and in that context a member of a number of cycling clubs; such as Cima Coppi & Amies de Pavé 76 (a club that is engaged in facilitating female junior riders on the way to becoming pro.
Amanda has registered the legal practice area ‘(International) Employment Law’ in the Dutch Bar’s register of legal practice areas. Based on this registration, she is required in accordance to the standards set by the Dutch Bar to obtain ten training credits per calendar year in this legal practice area.
